New Wilo Pico Domestic Pump...

wilko stratos pico pump

"Wilo-Stratos PICO” high-efficiency pump presented at ISH 2009 in Frankfurt, the Dortmund-based pump expert WILO SE moves into “new dimensions of high efficiency”. It allows power savings of up to 90 % compared to uncontrolled heating pumps. The new 4-watts technology makes it possible, a further development of the EC motor technology known from the “Wilo-Stratos” high-efficiency pumps. The new model consumes only half as much power as it is required according to the currently best energy efficiency class A and sets new standards here.

The new high-efficiency pump “Wilo-Stratos PICO” is designed for single-family or two-family houses and will replace the “Wilo-Stratos ECO” from the heating season 2009/10 onwards. Compared to the predecessor model, which was also recognised in the heating pump test of Germany’s Consumers’ Association “Stiftung Warentest” as the test winner in the category “energy efficiency”, the new pump is not only characterised by a once more considerably lower power consumption, but also by further innovative performance characteristics. A larger, well-arranged front display with a clear menu navigation allows an intuitive setting of the pump and displays the current power consumption in watts.

Another special feature is an automatic ventilation function which avoids performance losses and noise due to air accumulation in the pump casing. The ventilation function is also called up via the operation menu and can be activated e. g. after the installation or after maintenance work. After expiration of the programme, the pump automatically returns to the pre-set modus.

“Wilo-Stratos PICO” also offers clear advantages for the installation. It is equipped with the new “Wilo connector” which allows a quick connection of the pump to the power supply without any tools. The connector is a good assistance when a pump needs to be replaced because it is compatible with the connection components of different standard products. Furthermore the new high-efficiency pump has a very compact construction for a flexible installation so that it can be installed without any problems also in difficult installation environments.
